Simone Biles, 27, Debuts New Bob Hairstyle and Stuns in Figure-Hugging Metallic Dress at the 2024 CMA Awards
Simone Biles stunned social media followers with a new appearance after receiving backlash for her “fried” hair during the Olympics in Paris, however some questioned her choice of attire.
During the 2024 Country Music Association (CMA) Awards in Nashville on November 20, seven-time Olympic medalist Simone Biles was a shining star. Astute internet users have conflicting opinions about her pictures.
Simone posted a picture of herself and a close friend on Instagram Stories prior to the event. She finished off her stylish look with big spectacles, trousers, stacked necklaces, and a beige top. “okay but wait for the glow up later today [sic],” she responded in response.
The 27-year-old Olympian wore a sparkling metallic gown that emphasized her confidence and elegance when she walked the red carpet that evening.
Her athletic body was enveloped by the silver dress, which had an off-the-shoulder sleeve and a knotted shoulder strap. Stud earrings and a delicate hand chain that accentuated her wedding ring completed the ensemble.
As one of the speakers for the evening, Simone also took center stage. She joined a stellar group of personalities, such as Little Big Town, Carly Pearce, and Jeff Bridges, to honor the finest in country music.
Simone shocked admirers later in the evening by dressing in a dazzling silver power suit, a striking, well-tailored look that carried on the metallic theme.
Social media was swiftly used by fans to express their appreciation for Simone’s CMA participation. Some others said, “Beautiful Dress but it doesn’t fit!!” while many others praised her appearance. [sic] “She is going to be a mum!!” a second person predicted, while another person said that her silver gown didn’t look flattering.
Simone’s new hairstyle was complimented by certain internet users. One fan exclaimed, “I like her new hairstyle, so pretty,” while another exclaimed, “she is ridiculously beautiful, she can rock any hairstyle!”
Her hairdo was the subject of another observer, who expressed gratitude for her ability to freely try out unique hairstyles that capture her individuality and personality.
Another admirer emphasized how her bob fits her post-Olympic lifestyle and enables her to adopt looks that were unfeasible during her competitive career. One commenter praised Simone’s appearance and performance, while another commented on how beautiful she appeared.
The famous gymnast’s “fried” hair at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris was a dramatic contrast to her new bob.
Despite concentrating on her quest for gold, Simone was surprised by the negative feedback she received from online users regarding her hair during the tournament. The famous gymnast didn’t think twice before answering her detractors.
In a humorous yet stern video that she shared on her Instagram account, Simone said, “don’t come for me about my hair [sic].”
Simone described how she dealt with the extreme heat while sitting on a bus: “IT WAS DONE but bus has NO AC & it’s like 9,0000 degrees.” She went on, “oh & a 45 minute ride [sic].”
“I’m going to hold your hand when I say this…next time you wanna comment on a black girl’s hair,” Simone said in a different post, being more straightforward. Just don’t [sic]. Social media users responded to her statement in a variety of ways.
An irate viewer criticized Simone’s hair for seeming less put together than that of her teammates.
Simone exhibited straightforward yet eye-catching hairstyles during the Olympics, frequently choosing a hair bun to accentuate her style and versatility. In one picture, her hair was tied with hairpins in a high bun with drooping strands.
Simone’s high, untidy hairdo was well complemented by little braids that ran from the front to the back in another picture. Before putting her hair in a bun, it looks like she braided it.
Simone chose a more relaxed style in another photo, sporting a basic sloppy bun with a few loose strands for a laid-back vibe. She didn’t use any hairpins and maintained a natural look.
“It feels amazing,” Simone said, reflecting on the team’s accomplishment. We are thrilled and adore it.We completed the task.
Simone also posted a picture of her team joyfully holding the American flag while they celebrated their victory on Instagram. “lack of talent, lazy, olympic champions ❤️🥇🇺🇸 [sic],” she wrote as the caption for her photo.
Her reaction and exceptional performance serve as a reminder that her athletic ability greatly surpasses any superficial criticism, especially that directed at her hair.
A staple of Simone’s public image, her hairstyles are now highlighted in the Netflix documentary “Simone Biles: Rising.” Her journey is explored in the documentary, which also looks at her hair braiding technique.
The first season of Simone’s life documentary, which was produced in partnership with Emmy-winning filmmaker Katie Walsh and streaming behemoth Netflix, has debuted on television. Katie broke the fourth wall by sharing the backstory of some of the project’s features.
As stated in the Netflix description, “Simone Biles: Rising” followed the young artist as she “balances her personal life, mental health journey, and training ahead of a highly anticipated return to the Olympics.”
A preview of the documentary was shown in the trailer, which began with an interview in which Simone discussed the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics. After that, it included snippets of her amazing gymnastics abilities.
In order to change the tone, the trailer first showed Simone’s memorable exit from the competition, and then it showed her talking about it and other struggles she had encountered.
She even admitted at one time that she thought about giving up gymnastics completely, but her loved ones urged her to persevere.
There were two sections to the documentary. In the first, “Write Me Down in History,” Simone discussed her emotional struggles and the tremendous pressure she endured following the Tokyo Championships as she prepared for her comeback. “I Will Not Be Broken,” the second episode, focused on Simone at the World Championships.
The conclusion of the episode’s plot line states, “But as she looks toward Paris, experiences from the past are shaping how she thinks about the future,” Netflix has posted snippets of the episodes on YouTube and Facebook since they were released.
One of the documentary’s most notable clips included Simone’s devoted mother, Nellie Biles, combing her daughter’s hair. In this video, Nellie was doing her hair as Simone sat at a wooden table.
Nellie used her hands to draw definite lines where Simone might braid her hair as she described how she may dress it, most likely for an occasion. In the video, Simone went on to say, “Well, you can just do one at the top.”
“And then the one in the back,” Nellie said, confirming her daughter’s request before reaching for a hair comb to begin. Nellie was then seen in the video braiding Simone’s hair.
On July 21, Katie sat down with the hosts of GymCastic to discuss the story behind that momentous occasion. Katie started by outlining the filming process after co-host Jessica O’Beirne asked her to discuss the hair braiding.
Four days prior to the 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Antwerp, Belgium, the documentary was approved.
Despite being permitted to film with Simone, the production team was not permitted to film in her hotel room, she revealed. The United States of America Gymnastics (USAG) sports federation’s stringent rules and regulations were the cause of this.
“So, we figured out that this hotel had a conference room area […] and that we could only shoot in this room, which was around five by nine. Thus, we would sort of move items into that area. In order to braid Simone’s hair there, Nellie would visit,” Katie stated.
Continued Katie, “Nellie could go to Simone’s hotel room, but we couldn’t, so they would work with us and come to that other spot.” Many people expressed how moved they were by the poignant moment when they witnessed Simone’s mother braiding her hair.
Simone Biles inspires as a strong, fashionable, and graceful symbol on stage, the red carpet, and in competition, demonstrating her unstoppability in everything she does.
