Leni Klum: Following in Her Mother’s Footsteps
Leni Klum is Heidi’s eldest child, born in New York City on May 4, 2004. Weighing in at 7 pounds and 5 ounces, reports emerged that Leni and her mother were in excellent health following her birth.
The German supermodel — known for role as a judge alongside Sophia Vergara and Simon Cowell on “America’s Got Talent” — shares Leni with Italian businessman Flavio Briatore. However, there have been conflicting reports about the latter’s involvement in his biological daughter’s life.

Nonetheless, Seal lovingly assumed the father figure role in Leni’s life when he legally adopted her in 2009, 4 years after marrying her mother. “It doesn’t make [Leni] any more or less my daughter. She always has been. All it means is that both Heidi and I wanted her to have the same last name as the rest of us,” the famous singer said.

Following in her mother’s footsteps, Leni embarked on a modeling career, a decision she had long desired. Now, the young model is carving out her own niche in the fashion world.
Reflecting on her journey, Leni said, “I had grown up going to work with my mom. Ever since 11 or 12 years old, I’ve been begging her and then finally I turned 16 and she said that I could finally start modeling.”
Heidi has always cherished her bond with Leni, which was made evident in the heartfelt Instagram post the supermodel shared in honor of her daughter’s 17th birthday in 2021. Heidi posted a throwback video of herself strutting her stuff on a catwalk, revealing she was four months pregnant in the clip.
“If I look close enough then I can see you bumping right along at 4 months @LeniKlum. I loved you before you were born, and I will love you long after I close my eyes forever,” the sweet caption read in part.
Henry Samuel: A Creative Soul
After announcing that they were expecting in March 2005, Heidi and Seal welcomed their first child together, a son named Henry Günther Ademola Dashtu Samuel, later that year in September.
Born in a Los Angeles-area hospital, both mother and baby were reported to be “happy and healthy.” The name Günther was chosen to honor Heidi’s father, a nod to her German heritage.

Henry was born just a few months after his parents tied the knot in a romantic beach wedding near Seal’s home on Mexico’s luxurious Costa Careyes. The family settled into their Bel Air estate Shortly after Henry’s birth, where he joined his older sister.
Henry was often remarked upon for his striking resemblance to his father as a newborn. Heidi humorously shared her thoughts on that.

“Everyone who sees him says, ‘Oh my God, he looks just like Seal.’ And I’m like, ‘He has nothing of me? C’mon, there must be something of me in there somewhere.’ And they’re like, ‘No, sorry, he looks just like his father.’ I’m a little sad about that,” the model said through laughter.

Unlike his sister, Henry has largely stayed out of the public eye. However, his privacy preference has not stopped his mother from gushing about him.
In 2011, Heidi described a then 6-year-old Henry as “very artistic,” noting that he often lived in his own imaginative world. She fondly recalled an outing where Henry wore enormous green, fluffy dinosaur-feet slippers to dinner.

“You can barely walk in those things, but for him, it’s not weird at all,” she laughed. Henry’s creative spirit was evident from a young age, as Heidi shared in 2008 that he enjoyed playing dress-up with his sister’s princess gowns.
“There’s nothing wrong with that,” Heidi explained, embracing her son’s playful exploration of different outfits. The supermodel humourly admitted that the flashy, elegant dresses were far more fun than traditional Buzz Lightyear costumes.

Johan Samuel: Growing Up Away from the Spotlight
On November 22, 2006, Heidi and Seal joyfully announced the birth of their second son, Johan Riley Fyodor Taiwo Samuel. Born at 5:01 p.m. in Los Angeles, Johan weighed a healthy 8 pounds and 11 ounces.
From the beginning, Johan’s parents have been dedicated to keeping him out of the public eye. Johan has been shielded from the spotlight, much like his older brother Henry, with Heidi rarely sharing photos of him online.
However, in a rare moment of sharing, Heidi posted a wholesome snap on Instagram in 2021, showing herself dwarfed between her two tall sons. The photo, taken from behind, humorously highlighted her sons’ impressive height compared to her’s. “How did I get so short?” the caption read.
Lou Samuel: The Youngest and Most Festive
Heidi and Seal welcomed their youngest child, Lou Sulola Samuel, in Los Angeles, on October 9, 2009. Seal expressed profound joy and love in a heartfelt statement following her birth.
“It’s difficult to imagine loving another child as much as you love your existing children. […] Lou Sulola Samuel was born, and from the moment she looked into both of our eyes, it was endless love at first sight,” the singer shared.

Seal announced Lou’s impending arrival earlier that year during a Radio City Music Hall concert, where the singer surprised his audience and Heidi with the news.
Reflecting on that moment, Heidi revealed, “[The news] came out faster than I wanted it to. My husband kind of surprised me and everybody at one of his concerts.”

As the youngest of the Samuel siblings, Lou has been largely shielded from the public eye, much like her brothers. However, Lou is known for one unique trait that sets her apart from her siblings: her love for Halloween.
In 2021, Heidi revealed that Lou was the only one of her children who shared her enthusiasm for the holiday. Instead of her usual extravagant Halloween party, Heidi hosted a smaller celebration for her kids, where Lou stood out by fully embracing the spirit of the occasion.

Heidi proudly noted, “Out of four, there’s only one that really is going for it and that’s Lou.” Lou dressed up as an Anime character, complete with “full-on makeup, the hair, all the accessories.”

Seal, well-known for the scars on his face, has always embraced them as part of his identity. In 2011, he opened up about these scars, explaining, “I always call the marks on my face my battle scars. I tell my children I sustained them when I was fighting to defeat evil demons.”
They are actually from discoid lupus – a chronic skin condition – which started when he was 21. However, the singer added that the scars have become a source of pride for him.

The appearance of Seal with his children at such a high-profile event underscores the importance of family in his life. It also offered the public a glimpse into the close-knit nature of the Samuel family, further endearing them to fans and followers who have watched the children grow up, albeit from a distance.
Despite calling a quits on their relationship, Heidi Klum and Seal have remained doting parents to their four children Leni, Henry, Johan, and Lou. While they largely steer clear of the public eye, moments like the recent “The Book of Clarence” premiere provide a rare and heartwarming look at their close-knit family.
